Managing partner and CEO of Twisted North America, Twisted Middle East and Twisted EV, Tom Maxwell, has been nominated for two prestigious honours at this year’s Institute of Directors and Growing Business awards.
He has been shortlisted in the Young Director category in the Yorkshire & North East region in recognition for his work as a leading figure in the transatlantic niche, for the USA branch of North Yorkshire based Twisted Automotive.
The IoD Yorkshire & North East Director of the Year Awards aim to raise awareness of the notable contribution business leaders are making to the economic prosperity in the region, while recognising the individuals who have showcased the highest standards of leadership and forward thinking in their respective sectors.
Twisted is an automotive company which offers engineering modifications and enhancements to Land Rover Defender vehicles, with leading models in the North American market including the Twisted NA-V8 and NAS-E.
Virtually every part used in a Twisted vehicle is designed and manufactured from their workshop in Thirsk, with Maxwell, who is originally from York, overseeing operations and further modifications across the Atlantic from their base in Virginia.
The winner of this award will be announced at a virtual ceremony to be held on Wednesday 18th November, hosted by IoD Yorkshire & North East Online.
This recent nomination underlines a successful year for Maxwell, who has also been nominated as a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category in the 23rd annual Growing Business Awards, the winner of which will be announced on Wednesday 24th November. The awards are billed as ‘the most credible and highly valued recognition of exceptional growing businesses across the UK.
A further award nomination saw Maxwell shortlisted last month in The Business Desk Northern Leadership Awards Yorkshire for Young leader, underlining the strides taken to embed Twisted into the North American market.
