More tickets are available for the third annual Kirklees and Calderdale Charity Lunch (KACCL), hosted by regional businesses, to meet the demand for the popular event.
Taking place at Huddersfield’s Cedar Court Hotel, organisers have upped the venue capacity from 265 to 300 seats for the charity Christmas lunch which will raise money for Orange Box young people’s centre, in Halifax, and West Yorkshire’s Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
It is hoped that this year’s event will surpass the £24,000 that the kind-hearted business community raised in 2017, with money again set to be split equally between the two charities.
The funds from KACCL will go towards supporting The Orange Box Choir in Association with Square Chapel, Orange Box Rock School music workshops and ‘Routes’ Youth Music Festival, which provides a platform for young musicians to showcase their talent on an open stage.
Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice will use the funds to help with their continued services to help families across West Yorkshire and East Lancashire. The hospice supports families of children across Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield who have a life-shortening condition.
The business lunch event, which offers networking opportunities for regional professionals, will follow the same format as the previous two years, with a Prosecco reception, three-course lunch and entertainment.
Last year’s event was attended by 265 people in the business community who enjoyed a special performance from 16-year-old singer Callum Butterworth, of Orange Box young people’s choir, and an entertaining set from well-loved magician and performer, John Danbury.
Steve Crowther, the new chair of the KACCL Committee and managing director at Crowther Accountants, said: “We’re really excited to be bringing back KACCL for the third year and are thrilled to have already sold the majority of tables. We urge anyone interested in attending to secure their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
“Orange Box and Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice are two really important charities in our area which play a key part in many people’s lives. We can’t wait to bring the business community together again to raise money for the brilliant services these two charities provide.”
The KACCL organising committee represents figures from businesses across the region, which includes JR Group UK Ltd, Stafflex, Chadwick Lawrence, Faith PR, Eastwood & Partners, Brug Consultancy, Whimsical Events, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, Hellomint, Cedar Court Hotels and Crowther Accountants.
The event takes place at the hotel, in Lindley Moor Road, on Thursday, 6th December, from 11.30am-3.30pm. Tickets are still available and priced at £50 per person for tables of 10 to 12 people.
