We have recently won a contract to raise the profile through PR and social media to the Holocaust Exhibition and Learning Centre in Huddersfield – the only facility of its kind in the north of England.
The aim of the campaign is to raise the profile of the HELC, which tells the stories of Holocaust survivors in a unique permanent exhibition Through Our Eyes, an interactive resource with eyewitness accounts, artefacts and documents of 16 survivors who made their lives in Yorkshire.
The brief is to increase visitor footfall at the exhibition, raise awareness of the centre’s activities, both on site and online, and to increase bookings from schools and community groups.
A social media campaign will increase follower numbers and engagement on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, while driving website traffic.
Having already secured coverage of the centre’s first anniversary celebrations in national and regional media, our brief includes promoting a series of events set to take place in the run-up to Holocaust Memorial Day in January and to pick up digital marketing.
Managing director Stefanie Hopkins said: “We are delighted to be working with the HELC to ensure that the stories of Holocaust survivors remain relevant and are never allowed to be forgotten. It’s a powerful resource and we look forward to raising the profile of the work the centre does.”
Emma King, director of the HELC, added: “We were very impressed with the ideas that Faith presented and are delighted to have the support of this experienced and enthusiastic team.”
The Holocaust Exhibition and Learning Centre is based within the campus of Huddersfield University. It has been shortlisted in the Heritage category of the National Lottery 25th birthday awards and for a Times Higher Education Award.
