It’s that time of year again! With the end of the year in sight, it’s time for Faith to look back on what we’ve done this year, how we’ve done it, and the results we’ve had. And we’re bringing you along with us!

The start (January-April)

At the beginning of the year, we made leaps and bounds with new client acquisition, being appointed by the EW Group to build awareness of the brand, its core services and the specialisms of the team. We also began working with global search consultancy ORESA on their digital marketing, direct mail provider Propack to manage all communications and social media activity for the firm, and Pan-European sales and marketing specialist durhamlane for profile-building media relations.

In March we celebrated one year since the move to Vulcan House, and secured a contract renewal for The Strategic Mailing Partnership, who we have worked with long-term to manage their internal and external communication strategies. Our International Women’s Day competition was a success, providing a small female-owned business with free hours of publicity as a prize, as was the press event in London we supported our motoring client Twisted in hosting.

By April, we were welcoming even more clients—the UK’s leading annexe builder, iHus; AgriSound, a fast-growing start-up tech firm specialising in pollination management; Huddersfield Unlimited, an organisation that stands for Huddersfield, its businesses, inward investment and diverse communities in the region; and Brighouse-based IT support firm Fusion IT.

The middle (May-August)

We had a busy period in the office over the summer as our Junior Social Media Account Executive Rhianne joined us, as well as two students for work placements. Shortly after we welcomed Nicola on board as Senior PR Account Manager, Beth as our Office Administrator while Nicole was on maternity leave, and Annace as Social Media Manager. This helped us kick off our public affairs campaign working with neighbouring businesses, lobbying to get Birds Royd Lane resurfaced!

In July we ran a successful campaign for the F1 in Schools Project, and we were shortlisted for the CIPR Pride Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Awards Small PR Consultancy of the Year! We then went on to be shortlisted for the first ever Connect Yorkshire Business Awards in the Small Business category, as well as for the 2022 Prolific North Marketing Awards for our work with The Sleep Charity, marking a month of great pride for the Faith team!

The end (September-December)

We kicked off this period by ranking in the top 50 PR Agencies with Prolific North and being awarded Silver Small PR Consultancy Award at the CIPR PRide Awards Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. This came right on time to celebrate Faith’s 15th Birthday, welcome Katie to the team as content writer, and earn three new client wins—Woodley BioReg, pharmaceutical professional experts; Bed Kingdom, part of Flair Furniture Ltd.; and The Poetry Book Society, founded by T S Eliot and friends in 1953 to share the joy of poetry. We also spent the month of October raising money for SADS for our 31 for Kirsty charity campaign.

Winter saw Nicola promoted to Account Director, Jessica join us as PR Account Manager, as well as a successful Christmastime wrap up in office. KACCL 2022 took place, raising almost £25k for local charities, and thanks to our work back in May, Birds Royd Lane was finally resurfaced!

Impressions and coverage

Our work running the social media across multiple accounts has resulted in a staggering 3,450,906 impressions over the last 11 months! Through a combination of clever call to actions, striking video content, witty copy and thought leadership, our presence on social media enhanced the standing of each of the accounts that trusted us with their company profiles.

Media coverage proved itself to be a thriving and successful form of outreach and publicity in 2022, giving businesses a way to promote their messages, showcase their successes and raise the profile of the organisation. Over the last year, Faith has managed to secure 704 pieces of coverage for our clients, across media tabloids, mainstream consumer media, regional media as well as sector-specific coverage.

Overall wrap-up

We’ve seen Faith grow year on year, and this year is no exception. With so many new members of our team, new clients, and new opportunities coming our way, we’re excited to see what 2023 will bring.
