It’s been one month since we welcomed Abigail Henderson to the team, joining as our new junior account executive, here’s how she’s found her first job in the industry so far
Hello! I’m Abigail, I recently joined the Faith PR team as junior account executive following my graduation last year with a degree in Journalism. As this is my first PR and social media role, I was really excited to start my first day and get stuck in. It was time to develop my writing and learn new skills – putting what I learnt at university into practice!
First month in the industry done, how did you find it?
I have really enjoyed my first month at Faith, there’s lots of new things to learn and I’m finding it really interesting.
Were there any unexpected surprises?
Nothing too unexpected, I was already familiar with the office as I’d done work experience here, but it was great the meet the rest of the team and get started working with clients.
What are you most looking forward to?
Learning new skills. Since I started, I’ve already learnt so much and I’m looking forward to building on this!
Tell us about what you were doing before joining the team?
I was working in retail while completing my Journalism degree at Leeds Beckett University.
What is something we wouldn’t know about you from your CV?
I recently learnt (and am still learning!) how to play squash.
What job would you be really bad at?
Being a musician, I’m not a very musical person, although I wish I was.
Any surprise talents?
I’m a good baker, if I do say so myself! My favourite things to bake are lemon drizzle cakes and peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies, I do like to try new things, but they don’t always go to plan!
If you had an autobiography, what would it be called?
Lost in a Good Book – I’ve always loved reading and when I was younger I’d walk around shops with my head in a book and have four books on the go at once!
You’re a new addition to the crayon box, what colour would you be and why?
I’d be yellow- it’s bright and optimistic! I try to have a positive outlook.
