Global sales and marketing agency durhamlane is rapidly expanding its presence across North America, having secured a six-figure deal to deliver front-end solution sales for global electronics manufacturer Belden across Canada and the US.
The company already works with numerous global clients and brands, six of which – Nasdaq, Siemens, ABB, RS Group, Wolters Kluwer and British Council – were onboarded in the past year as part of a series of five and six-figure contract wins for demand and qualified international sales lead generation as well as digital marketing services.
durhamlane, which is headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, has seen a significant 31% growth in revenue in the past 12 months, with turnover surpassing £6.3m for the first time. 25% of this has been driven by international sales.
As a result, the firm has appointed four additional multilingual employees, taking the total of linguists to 12, with eight languages spoken across the team. It has also created a further seven new roles to strengthen its service offering and infrastructure to support the servicing of North American clients from the UK.
Jake Spence, managing director of durhamlane said: “We are incredibly excited about our expansion across the US and Canada. The brands we work with have global operations and we have witnessed first-hand the success of our sales and marketing strategies for them. This has naturally led to requests for our support in expanding into international markets, allowing us to scale up globally.
“While our methodologies are transferable to most global markets, further investment into our multi-lingual, international delivery team will allow us to deliver time-sensitive activities across different time zones and communicate effectively with local stakeholders, understand their needs, and establish trust and rapport.
“Our customer success function has been instrumental in creating record growth revenues from our base and we are positioned perfectly to catapult ourselves into the new financial year continuing our upward trajectory and global expansion.”
Durhamnlane has recently been shortlisted for the ‘Small Exporter of the Year’ award in the 2023 UMi Northern Powerhouse Export Awards in association with the Department for Business and Trade. The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of businesses across the North of England who have successfully expanded their products, services, and expertise into overseas markets.
