This year, Faith PR was pleased to sponsor the Yorkshire and the North East regional heats of the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards (WIBAs) which went national for the very first time.

The WIBAs, which are now in their sixth year, have become one of the most high profile and respected accolades for women recognising their enormous contribution to the economy and acknowledging start-ups to multi-million pound companies.

In addition to sponsoring the awards, we were also appointed by Forward Ladies to deliver an extensive PR campaign in the lead up to and during the awards as the winners of each of the regional heats were announced.

This involved liaising closely with the local media within each of the four regions (Yorkshire and the North East, Midlands, London and the South, North West and Isle of Man) to promote the awards and encourage entries through a comprehensive PR campaign.

Following each of the regional heats, we promoted the success of each of the women shortlisted for the finals using further targeted press release tailored to the media for each region, and then conducted a further follow up campaign following the overall winners being announced at a glittering awards ceremony at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds in November.

Our campaign achieved extensive coverage across the four regions both in print and online, with a total PR value of just under £305,000 and impressive 1.5million opportunities to see across the different media.

Stefanie Hopkins, director at Faith PR said:

“We were delighted to be so heavily involved with the Forward Ladies’ first ever national awards, both as a sponsor and as their PR partner. This year’s awards have been highly successful and demonstrate the high calibre of women in business across the whole of the UK.”
