The Nick Smith Foundation Leeds 10k

We are proud to support our local community and our Managing Director Stefanie recently took part in the Leeds 10k in support of The Nick Smith Foundation.

Stefanie Hopkins joined the team of 40 runners who ran on behalf of the charity on 7 July 2019 and who collectively raised an amazing total of £8,063, supporting those with Motor Neurone Disease and their families.

The team included members of Nick’s family, colleagues and friends as well as staff and parents from Brighouse’s HLC Nursery where Nick’s daughter goes, and Stefanie’s children also went.

Stefanie said: “It was an honour to take part in this event and to contribute towards raising such a fantastic amount for The Nick Smith Foundation.

“The Foundation do such incredible work and are helping so many families who are affected by Motor Neurone Disease, children who have had to face the tragedy of a parent dying at an early age, as well as supporting the rugby community that Nick loved.”

The Nick Smith Foundation was founded following Nick’s death from Motor Neurone Disease in December 2017. He was just 38.

Stephen Naylor, Chair of The Nick Smith Foundation, added:

“The amount raised by Stefanie and our Leeds 10K runners was incredible. Stefanie will be too modest to say herself, but she was also the fastest of the team of 40 – an amazing achievement!

“Stefanie and everyone at Faith PR have been hugely supportive of our charity since Nick’s death and share our determination to give him a lasting legacy. We can’t thank them enough for their support.”
