HU turned to Faith PR to help it cement, raise awareness of, and drive forward its one unifying aim – a determination that Huddersfield should have a vibrant and successful future.
HU tasked Faith with raising visibility of the brand and promoting its online presence to showcase and strengthen its work in bringing the pillars of Huddersfield together. Through its links with partner organisations; Kirklees Council, the University of Huddersfield, and Huddersfield BID, HU was looking for amplification of its campaigning voice to help it support the progression of key projects for the town. These included the redevelopment of Huddersfield’s town centre as its ‘Cultural Heart’, the University’s Health Innovation Centre plans and the TransPennine route upgrade.
To underpin organisation’s stance at the forefront of championing Huddersfield, Faith set about developing PR and social media initiatives to raise visibility, provide a loudhailer to its campaigning and manage multi-channel platforms for engagement with all stakeholders.
Faith developed media outreach offering thought leadership, opinion pieces and informed comment with business community backing to enable its stance to be on the table for incorporation into all major projects currently affecting Huddersfield’s future infrastructure.
To enable HU to provide one voice with which to shine a light on the town’s offer and true potential, Faith strengthened HU’s online presence with the launch of ‘Our Huddersfield’. This was a new section for its website which acted as a singular mouthpiece for all the partner organisations. It was dedicated to the latest updates about all that is great and good and going on in the town across the sectors Huddersfield Unlimited is most invested in, namely lifestyle, education, culture and business news.
Faith also selectively used the most engaging content across HU’s social media channels to complement its thought leadership and insightful comment on issues affecting the town and provided community management. Faith also ran paid social campaigns to bolster engagement with relevant audiences for HU initiatives in partnership with Create Streets an organisation working to improve the town’s road networks.
To underpin ‘Our Huddersfield, Our Future’, HU’s inaugural mini-conference for all stakeholders, held at The John Smith’s Stadium, Faith provided media relations and marketing support with the production of a comprehensive 12-page brochure showcasing its work to help improve the future of Huddersfield.
Press releases and reactive comment statements successfully positioned Huddersfield Unlimited at the heart of discussions around improvement and development in the area.
We raised the profile of HU to attract a near capacity audience for its inaugural conference through coverage in relevant local media.
A regular drum beat of news across online platforms and extended feature articles and interviews were secured in the region’s leading business titles including Business Insider, The Yorkshire Post and Business Desk.
We also organically drove the Huddersfield Unlimited social media to benefit from a 25% raise in engagement, a 61% raise in interactions, and a 48% rise in responses in 6 months.
Along with the establishment of ‘Our Huddersfield’, HU saw itself positioned at the forefront of news and community in the Huddersfield area.
